Availability / Office Hours:

24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The office number: 757-424-4300 transfers to an answering service when the office is closed. Staff is available to go on-site or to open the drug collection office for after hours collections if needed. 

Regular office hours are:  

           NowCare I: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday-Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

           NowCare II / Bayview:  Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and closed on Sunday.

           NowCare III / Suffolk: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Mobile Unit:

Available for on-site collections and testing. No additional charge for minimum of 6 local collections.

Drug Testing: DOT and Non-DOT:

All specimen collections are performed  by qualified technicians. All DOT collections are done in accordance with DOT regulations. Testing done under the authority of your company policy may be done using urine, saliva or hair. Drugs can also be screened for instant results in approximately 5 minutes.

Alcohol: DOT and Non-DOT:

Breath Alcohol Testing is performed  by a certified BAT (Breath Alcohol Technician) using an Intoximeter EBT (Evidential Breath Tester).

Management Services:

Full Service Substance of Abuse Program Management includes:

•  Training of supervisors to meet DOT requirements

•  Train the Trainer (Assist managers to train employees)

•  Set up and manage collection sites

•  Testing of urine specimen at a DHHS certified laboratory

•  Contract with a qualified MRO (fee included)

•  Contract with a certified BAT (testing additional) 

•  Recommend qualified SAP( if needed)

•  Random Pool Management (additions and deletions)

•  Random selection of employees (up to 12X a year)
